Mobile Internet minor model officially released

Based on the actual needs of minors' network protection and responding to the expectations and concerns of all sectors of society, the National Cyberspace Office continued to guide domestic software and hardware enterprises to jointly promote the construction of the mobile Internet minors model (hereinafter referred to as the "minors model"). In April of this year, the underage mode broke through a series of technological bottlenecks and achieved comprehensive optimization and systematic upgrading.
The release ceremony comprehensively showcased the distinctive features and main functions of the underage mode.
From the perspective of operation mode, mobile intelligent terminals, applications, and application distribution platforms have achieved tripartite linkage, greatly reducing the threshold for using the model. Parents can click on the icon in a prominent position on their mobile phone to activate the "one click start" mode for minors, where all applications switch synchronously, creating a relatively independent, safe, and controllable online environment. From the perspective of content ecology, high-quality content suitable for minors has been greatly expanded. Key platforms rely on children's content creators, copyright resources, authoritative institutions, etc., to screen a massive amount of content for inclusion in the minors model, and establish a gradient content system with age stratification, content classification, and recommendation targeting to better meet the spiritual and cultural needs of minors.
From the perspective of functional services, the underage mode can provide daily total online time control, usage time setting, rest reminders, application management, usage statistics and other functions. Parents can adjust various settings according to actual situations to achieve reasonable guidance on underage online behavior.
From the perspective of coverage, Huawei, OPPO, and ZTE have provided underage mode after updating their mobile phone systems, while Xiaomi, Honor, and Vivo have installed underage mode on their newly released phones. The app store has established a dedicated area for underage users, and key applications in areas such as short video, social networking, e-commerce, education, and tools have fully upgraded to underage mode. The coverage of subsequent models will continue to expand, meeting the daily needs of minors and providing rich and diverse services.
